#HappyBirthday Bertrand Gachot, 63. He entered 84 #F1 GPs for Onyx, Rial, Coloni, Lola, Larrousse, Pacific & Jordan, whose 191 (pic) remains one of the prettiest F1 cars of the past 40 years. Gachot’s career highlight was winning the #LeMans24Hours for Mazda in ’91.

Good guy John was! RIP John Walton. He gave me good advice at Prost and was very helpful to join the team in a very short period of time. Partner of Louise Goodman, well known British motorsport reporter and presenter, died shortly after 2001…

50 years ago tonight six families lost their fathers and husbands. Graham Hill, Tony Brise, Ray Brimble, Andy Smallman, Tony Alcock and Terry Richards all died together, and with them the promising F1 team, Embassy Racing. We will always remember them.

Rarely does a team disappear in one fell swoop – especially one with such potential and in such an unfair and cruel manner. One team in particular, was Graham Hill’s outfit - Embassy Hill Racing.
