"The TK&ELR Vertical Boiler locos were thought to have gone unphotographed until one was discovered in the attic of the old Elsbridge station." A lovely piece drawn by the great @KumataJDG who did an even better job bringing my coffee pots to life than I did with the models!

It will never not be funny to me that the one of the crews at Dover harbour called these locos "a load of old rubbish" but half the class ended up being preserved and they're almost universally loved for their charm ❤️
Strutting about, Wainwright P 31556 busies itself at Newhaven in 1955. Further adding to its comical proportions was the height of its cab roof - several inches higher than the rest of its class bar 31557. Naturally itinerant, 31556 had been loaned to the K&ESR as recent as 1947.

It's bonfire night in the UK so I'm modelling to avoid my barking dogs! She's painted and lined. I just need a name for her. Something endearing.

It's #wagonweds so here's something a bit more unusual- a slate-turned-tipper wagon! The TR mounted several 2ft Hudson V-tipper frames on slate wagon chassis's for use on 2ft 3 track, one appearing to time travel back to 1864 in VOE! Mine is not a perfect match, but close enough
