Discovering that a @Tesco meal deal will be £3.85 *with* a Clubcard from Thursday was truly devastating 🫠

Dear lord. They’re now just saying the quiet part out loud.
'We need to build camps'. Badenoch says the UK should build camps for asylum seekers like the Nightingale hospitals built during the pandemic. 'There are examples of how we've done this before.'. She insists camps would keep both migrants and local communities safe.

Imagine thinking you can choose from a buffet of disabilities to decide who gets support. Utterly bewildering 🙃.
Sorry, could we take a moment to register the cruelty of the Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, Helen Whateley, who has proposed an amendment to the UC & PIP Green Paper excluding from PIP assessment those with “mild depression, anxiety or #ADHD”? Won’t happen, but…!

This bill has been a disaster from the beginning, and that is putting it lightly. The sheer scale of distress, panic, and upset that it has caused disabled people across the UK is shameful.
BREAKING. The government has delayed the implementation of the welfare reforms. They were due to come into effect in November 2026. They will now come into effect after the conclusion of a review by Stephen Timms, the welfare minister. The four-point rule - the subject of so much.

So much food for thought this morning at the launch of Project Nemo's inspiring new report - hosted at the stunning @AskNationwide London building. Fantastic conversations today on how insights shape a future where lived experience can drives digital financial inclusion.
We're delighted to support Project Nemo’s powerful new report exploring financial inclusion for people with learning disabilities. Quarriers was pleased to be invited to its launch in London, discussing the importance of UK-wide collaboration to create meaningful change.

Can’t quite believe it’s officially been a year since I joined the Board of @AlcoholFocus 🎉. It’s been a fascinating introduction into governance - and a powerful reminder of just how vital it is to have younger trustees around the table.
I am delighted to have been appointed to the Board of @AlcoholFocus as a Director & Trustee. I'm excited to support the governance of the organisation using knowledge and experience, and providing vital representation needed on Boards as a neurodivergent young person.

The social care sector: “Hey, is there any way we could get some extra funding and resources?”. The UK Government: “How about we remove the ability for you to stay afloat by hiring overseas care workers?”. Genuinely bewildering policy.

As an autistic person who pays taxes, holds a job, and everything in-between: this is utterly disgraceful. Autistic people who cannot do those things mean no less and should feel just as much that they belong in society. What a vile man.
RFK JR: And these are kids who will never pay taxes, they'll never hold a job, they'll never play baseball, they'll never write a poem. They'll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted
