My borderline obsession with wrestling began in early 2020 at an ACC dual. Folkstyle scoring was tough to figure out, but I had a decent grasp on it by the end of the night.
I still have no fucking clue what's going on any time I watch a freestyle match.

Somewhere between 149 and 165 as that's the average size for a peak phys condition 18-22 year old, so the most competition is there. Same reason 74kg is traditionally the toughest freestyle class and 120-138 is toughest in high school.

Refs need to be held accountable for their actions. There should be a committee you can send an official complaint to after the fact. They assess situation and disciplinary actions will be implemented if it’s deserved. This is kids lives. Just another day for ref :/

Here's my interpretation: rules say wrestle seven straight minutes inbounds resetting between periods. So if wrestlers go OOB, it should usually be a stall call. Even more so in referee position--if the top wrestler has "control," then they can control staying inbounds.
