If I say “we are saved by grace through faith, not of works so that no man can boast” they think I mean “we shouldn’t do any good works ever” WHY?

Demons believe in one God and it means nothing. That doesn't save. Besides, demons aren't offered eternal life through Christ. Their fate was sealed upon rebellion.

@EvanPaul05 The original was believeth. That is belief with action. Otherwise you’re no different than a demon. They believe in Him too, and shudder in fear, but do nothing He would have them do.

@EvanPaul05 Calvinism does not teach God created billions without any chance of salvation; rather, God sovereignly elects some to salvation by grace while justly passing over others who remain in sin and condemnation due to their own rebellion. Salvation is entirely by God's mercy and grace.
