team. I've been part of the team for a few months now, learning tons from everyone and playing a lot of Apex. Excited for the future and to engage with the Apex community!
Last week, after a great 9.5 years, I left
@Bungie
. Having creatively lead and directed the seasons since Warmind, I think leaving after Season of the Lost was a good time as any. It was privilege and an honor to work with such amazing people to create

.

Shipped 14 Destiny releases, got married, and had my first child. What a journey.
Season of the Chosen goes live today, our third release while fully remote. I am so proud of the team, overcoming many challenges and creating another great Destiny season. It's a privilege to be a part of this team.

Heads up, legends. We've been rolling out some changes to
@PlayApex
to better protect the game's competitive integrity.
We are making changes to remove automated strafing on controller and will also be making changes to prevent the chaining of cfg files via the +exec command
Season of the Splicer goes live today, and once again I am incredibly proud of the team. The idea for this season was scrawled on whiteboard forever ago, and it's a minor miracle to see it come to life today.

I was Hold to Aim for a decade or more, but after getting back into shooters on PC I’ve been Toggle Aim for the last few years. Just “feels” better to me and feel a bit more accurate when tracking.

It was great to work on a game with such an engaged community. I loved getting immediate feedback and the passion for Destiny gave me the drive to keep working to make the best experience possible. It also helped me develop a thick skin and an objective mindset 😀
Wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Season of the Lost as we head into the weekend.
Forever ago, pre-pandemic, we were in a room with a sketching out concepts for all the seasons post Beyond Light. It is incredible to see this week the final season go live.

When you see an impressive hobby project on Twitter/IG/FB did over a weekend or two, what you’re not seeing is the dozens if not hundreds of hours that person undertook to get good enough to do it in weekend. Don’t get discouraged, keep practicing!

for the past 3 years. Collaborated with them on Warmind, Black Armory, and the upcoming Season of Opulence. It was fantastic to work with them as I learned a ton. I will miss them, and looking forward to see what comes next!
Competitive team play is at the core of
@PlayApex
. Looking forward to how the Ranked updates evolve the competitive experience, and drive tactics and strategy among teams.
When learning a skill, have no shame in copying as a form of practice. Take the pressure off to "be original" and put focus on learning the skill.
I advise people learning game dev to copy a simple game like Pong. Finish that and copy something else. Build momentum!
Excited for the launch of Season of Opulence today. It was the last release that we collaborated with
@VvisionsStudio
on and very proud of the all the great work that was done. Looking forward to running the Menagerie over and over to get that loot!
Catching up all the reactions to Season of the Splicer epilogue. Great to see the culmination of years of learning and experimenting paying off. Proud how the team has preserved and has kept driving to craft better and better experiences. The future is bright!

40 now. Still playing them and have spent my entire career making them! Feel lucky to have grown up alongside the business and the craft.

Gambit tugs at similar emotions I have playing Dota. Efficiently farming motes, ganking as an invader, and teammates feeding to heal the Primeval. Great highs and lows. Keeps me coming back 😁
I’ve found to become a better creative problem solver, practice executing. Ideas are usually so-so at best on paper. A “great” idea is typically recognized after execution, an iterative process fraught with failure. Become strong at execution and creativity will follow.

The mission prior, the opener, I tried to teach the player the Taken Phalanx behavior with 3 different encounters during the base escape. If the player didn’t have the hang of the knock back attack by this moment, they certainly did after 😀
I've learned most things in life compound. Stay consistent and you will see gains. Fitness, finance, skills, relationships, etc.
It's not about big wins, it's about consistent effort. Even in the gains are tiny, it will add up.
It might be a detail, but I just love the reload animation on Dead Man's Tale. Feels so satisfying as the weapon tilts, and then each round gets slotted into the magazine through the side gate.
