Where possible https://t.co/73qgRvoVId make DRM free copies of the books they sell available. We've updated Ethical Book Search to show "DRM free" in the results when it is an option. See the results for Martha Wells' "All Systems Red" for example

I am afraid that we've had to remove @Bookshop_Org and @bookshop_org_UK from our results because we can't reliablly search their catalogue.

We spent a bit of time over the last few weeks improving our search. We've fixed our integrations with Awesome Books and Better World Books and added Biblio to the UK results. Take a look

There are lots of replies to this the effect *European cities were built before the car*. And it is not really true. American smashed up its cities to accommodate the car. Europe was to be too poor to have as many cars as early, and so didn't do it as badly (buy my book please)
it’s honestly absurd that you can go to almost any midsize city in Europe and find dense, walkable, mixed-use urbanism but if you want that in america there are only 6 cities you can choose from and 5 of them are super expensive

"Do you not see there's a problem?" "There's an algorithm here tracking a human worker." Labour MP Darren Jones absolutely slates Amazon's European head of public policy over their dystopian surveillance of workers.

Amazon tells its customers and investors that it is committed to climate action. So I looked at which candidates the company is supporting in the 2022 midterms. I discovered that Amazon has given $138,000 to 25 climate deniers. Here's who the company is supporting: 🧵
