When we invest in housing, we invest in homelessness prevention. We invest in healthy communities. We invest in a better future for Long Beach and LA County. Today, @launitedway and @usch3e released a study which shows that more publicly financed housing = less homelessness.

Our work in DC to confront the homelessness crisis ripples throughout the country, especially in LA. We’ve made progress peeling back red tape to bring more people inside faster and we will continue to push for further federal legislative, regulatory and budgetary action.

The # of unsheltered neighbors increased because there isn't enough affordable housing. That's why we need to keep the pressure on systems to be more coordinated and focused on scaling what’s working. YES to preserving + producing more housing! #housingisahumanright
