#HappeningNow: Distinguished guests arrive at Nalubaale Power Station for the #NalubaaleHandover. @Eskomug will today hand over Nalubaale and Kiira Power Stations back to Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd (UEGCL) after a 20-year Concession.

This concession was held by Eskom Uganda Limited. These power stations supply about 67% of the country's electrical energy and remain the assets of the Uganda Government in terms of the Concession Agreement. #EskomUgHandover

UEGCL Board of Directors chaired by Eng. Proscovia Njuki had an engagement with teams from @Eskomug & @Eskom_SA Board & Management. The 20-year concession comes to an end on 31st March, Eskom will hand over Nalubaale - Kiira power stations to UEGCL for operations & maintenance.

Our board was this morning joined by @Eskom_SA board for an engagement with @UegclOfficial board to discuss issues of mutual interest. Eskom Uganda will hand over Nalubaale and Kiira power stations next week as the concession comes to its natural end.
