Author @SueWallman talking to the Y7 Word Up club @EsherHighSchool about her books and writing process. Best question imo ’Do you write for yourself or other people?’

While everybody works hard on their @hegartymaths tasks, some are going the extra mile completing extension tasks set by their teachers. Here's some beautifully laid out work by Sophia in year 9 @EsherHighSchool

Looking back over my Yr 11 poetry anthologies and although their notes are fantastic, I’m wondering how students are going to revise from them. Inspired by @MissMFrost’s flipbooks, I’ve created a ‘Key Points’ page that will hopefully help them order their ideas. @Team_English1

"Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was a joy to watch, rivalling the very best West End shows." Y8 student, St Martin's School, Norwood. Still booking for Jan/Feb and June/July 2019. @Team_English1 @LitdriveUK #TeamEnglish #LitDrive

Utterson asks "Will you let me see your face?" which speaks of a human desire for connection, recognition and identification of a friend or foe. Seeing Hyde's non-human face is disturbing for anyone who sees it; he becomes etched in their mind and yet they can't describe him.

Hyde 'shrank back with a hissing intake of the breath'. What makes Hyde react with this animalistic, serpentine response is Utterson's touch. This serves as good evidence that Hyde is an outsider who fears interaction with (and ultimately retribution from) the rest of society.

Great use of single sentence paragraph for effect: Incredibly rare to read a footballer’s story unmediated by a tabloid or a sponsor. @PlayersTribune is a really interesting idea. Also this is a brilliant piece from Raheem Sterling https://t.co/4f3RWgSVF6
