Gushing praise for Kate Forbes from @journostephen. Oddly, in his list of issues on which Forbes was right, Daisley omits to mention her opposition to same-sex marriage. Was she right about that also, Stephen? Or does that make her a "political halfwit"?.

In just a few years, the SNP has lost Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon and now Kate Forbes. All very different but unquestionably popular and respected. You have to ask: why does the talent continually desert @theSNP? What do they know that we don't?.

If any Holyrood insiders have details of incidents in which @_KateForbes was undermined by her SNP colleagues, share them with me. I'll ensure they reach the public domain with total confidentiality assured.
The vicious campaign conducted against her was straight from Magpie HQ with the usual suspects all too happy to put the metaphorical boot in. Forbes, Cherry, McAlpine, Regan, Hanvey, Salmond et al all had the treatment. Frankly, BrassNic and her cabal are a disgrace!

Here's a prediction I'd forgotten. As I always say, never doubt Mystic DG 🔮.
This was always going to happen after Forbes publicly humiliated the thin-skinned Humza. Forbes is finished. She won't stand for election to Holyrood again.

A very noticeable chasm is developing between @_KateForbes and @JohnSwinney. This week, Forbes has given unequivocal backing to single-sex spaces and supported Fergus Ewing's candidacy. Swinney has responded with, "Yeah but, no but, shut up!" How long can this "partnership" last?.

Utter rubbish. There is nothing remotely politically mature or sophisticated about using a party leadership election to announce your opposition to gay marriage and having children outside wedlock, then immediately backtracking when your campaign manager quits in embarrassment.
"The SNP wasn't ready for somebody like Kate Forbes and the Government wasn't ready either. she has a level of sophistication and political maturity that the rest of the Government doesn't have.". @akmaciver says Ms Forbes's departure tells us a lot about Scottish politics.
