This Saturday I’m presenting at the Scottish Association of Music Education conference. I’m honoured to be included in this lineup of great composers and educators, discussing composition in the BGE classroom.

The piece was commissioned by @LiveMusicNowSCO and the Kimie Trust for an audience of children with additional support needs and has been workshopped in multiple schools, in addition to being programmed in concerts. You can listen to a recording here:

Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining @soundscotland and @CoMA_NewMusic for the premiere of “An Ocean Journey”. It has been such a joy supporting in the Creative Orchestra workshops over the past few months and bringing this commission to life ❤️🎶

What a year 2023 has been. I’ve had some incredible opportunities to work with wonderfully talented musicians and companies. I’m forever grateful for the opportunities presented to me, but the highlight of the year has to be composing music for harp to walk down the aisle to 🍾✨

This weekend I had a quick trip down to Cambridge for the first workshop with @BrittenSinfonia for their Opus scheme 🎶

Today’s the start of an exciting week with @cheltfestivals as I attend their 10th Composer Academy 🎶

A year ago today was my first orchestral premiere with Martyn Brabbins and the @BBCSSO This was an experience I am so grateful for and will always cherish ✨🎶

It’s my final week working with some incredible pupils at 2 Primary Schools in Edinburgh. I’m so excited to hear their final compositions and read what they enjoyed about the project ❤️

I’m now halfway through an exciting project working alongside City of Edinburgh Council on their recent YMI project. I’m visiting two schools in Edinburgh and supporting pupils to create their own compositions inspired by Sustainability. @FrogstonPS @CraigourPark
