Behind every top team or even good team is usually a reliable and strong goalkeeper. They can win you games or gain you points in a matches you don’t deserve anything from. De Gea did it countless times between 2013-2018. Errors don’t happen as often with them. We need one!!.

My concern is Utd will be on top in a game and knocking on the door to score the opening goal, or to take the lead in a game, then Onana will let a soft goal in. I’ve lost count how many goals he’s conceded of which he could’ve/should’ve saved. He dents belief in the team.

I’m like a broken record re Onana. It cannot be understated just how important it is that Utd must have a better no1. He will continue to let Utd down, it’s an absolute certainty. He will create anxiety and uncertainty through the team. The club MUST act in the next 20 days.

I’m not even joking here when I say this but are Utd keeping Onana on board to help with the purchases of his two fellow countrymen (Mbuemo & Baleba)? 😂. That, and the obvious issue of no-one wanting to buy him.

Baleba may the last signing for Utd this summer, which is far from a certainty. Will Onana be better this season? Is he going to stop the errors and poor shot-stopping in his 3rd season? What is going to improve with him?. The club are taking a big gamble with him.

I’ve said this all summer. This club won’t pay for 3 keepers to sit in the bench, same with the CF’s, but the club moved for Sesko before a sale with the pressure put on by Newcastle.

What United related opinion have you held that you were absolutely wrong about?. Come on confession time. Me?. I wanted Fergie out in 1987. I thought he wasn’t good enough and I wanted him sacked. I also thought Sanchez was the final piece in the jigsaw.

If Utd sign Baleba and a new Goalkeeper, I’m expecting Utd to finish in the top 5. Not being in Europe, Utd can put extra focus on the league, playing just once a week for a large chunk of the season. Expectations.

Just a hunch here but I sense Utd are keen on getting Baleba in this summer because of fears if the club waits another 10-11 months, Brighton may want more £, and other clubs may be in the mix to sign him. This could be seen as Utd’s best opportunity to sign him.
