For the past three years, Dr. Masuhara has been involved in EDI work at Vancouver Coastal Health, as a member of the Medical Staff EDI Committee, and more recently as the first Regional Medical Director of EDI. Congratulations to this amazing trailblazer!!

As a family physician, Dr. Masuhara has worked with the community mental health team for 25+ years, with a focus on care of the elderly. She has led a quality improvement project to improve care for frail Chinese seniors by addressing barriers to accessing mental health services.

• compensate panelists for their time •value lived experience of panelists and candidates • see this as an opportunity for succession planning, particularly for emerging leaders from equity-deserving groups • a matrix is helpful and should be used as a supportive tool
