With evidence from Brazil, Colombia, India, South Africa, Tunisia + the UK, the report underlines the need for effective protection for informal workers + the adoption of comprehensive anti-discrimination, but goes further, calling for a focus on proactive, preventative measures.

Despite the proclamation that all are "free and equal in dignity and rights", 75 years on from the adoption of the Universal Declaration, more than 60% of countries do not have laws which provide comprehensive protection from discrimination. This has to change. #HumanRights75.

Yesterday, we and equality organisations from across the globe called on states to mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by launching a “decade of action on equality and non-discrimination". #HumanRights75 .
