To celebrate the return of the return of our Repair Cafe, we will be holding a repair skills day on Sept 25th. Sessions include 2 soldering workshops, a mending workshop, and a Dr Bike session with the.@bristolbikeproj. Details on how to sign up here 👉

Looking for something to do with the kids? Our team is off to St Paul's this morning, where we will be designing and testing wind turbine blades as part of their Weekly Wednesday pop-ups organised by @HistoryBridging. Find us outside the @StPaulsLC from 11am to get involved!

The MAKERS team got to spend a glorious weekend at @WOMADfestival, where they helped festivalgoers of all ages design wind turbine blades to generate electricity.
Such a great time today powering the future with young and old(er) designing renewable energy wind turbines with @EngOurFutureUWE . Thanks to @SubZeroPhysics for organising!

Over the past year, the MAKERS Project, which was funded by the @RAEngNews Diversity Impact Programme, has partnered with @OldLibrary_EV to deliver workshops focused on food growing, sewing, and textile repair. Read all about it here 👉

The @OldLibrary_EV & Re_Thrindle put on a great "Upcycle your Garment" session last night! Community members and @UWEBristol students learned how to re-style & alter unworn clothes into something new. This is part of the @RAEngNews funded repair and making focused MAKERS project.

Thanks to @RAEngNews Diversity Impact funding, the MAKERS could support three community groups in St Paul's in teaching new skills in making and repair, promoting self-sufficiency, and highlighting engineering careers for young people. Read more here:

We really value our long-standing collaboration with @RADEBristol, a group that does some fantastic work for the community of Easton to help tackle #pollution.
Easton based community action group @RADEBristol use citizen sensors to measure #pollution to address its impact on people's health. UWE Bristol students have recently helped repair these sensors as part of the MAKERS project. #CleanAirDay #CitizenScience
