4 years ago @ForestryEngland & @WildNewForest1 began a project to confirm the return of Pine Martens to the #NewForest. Using hidden cameras we now know they are here, breeding, & that the Forest's ancient woodlands are a really important habitat for this tree loving species.

The Knightwood Oak is the largest oak tree in the #NewForest & one of the oldest at over 500 years of age. Our team have upgraded the trail and car park here with accessibility in mind. Thank you to the @NewForestNPA for funding this work. #OurWork

The #NewForest provides critically important habitats for many rare and endangered species, such as the Smooth snake, Southern damselfly, Sand lizard & Curlew. This incredible place is one of England's most important locations for nature & wildlife. 💚🌳. #EndangeredSpeciesDay
