On behalf of @Blackthingsuk & @EnactEquality ,@Lmyah_sherae sat down with the newly appointed Windrush Commissioner, Reverend Clive Foster, for a deep dive interview about his views on compensation and legal aid, the trauma caused by the scandal, and the legacy he hopes to leave.

What do “trauma informed” reforms really mean for Black Caribbean communities still living with the impact of the Windrush scandal?

Fantastic work by @Lmyah_sherae and @EnactEquality 👇 Air pollution isn't just a public health crisis. It's a social justice issue that disproportionately some of society's most marginalised groups. Enact Equality are demanding action from Government.

This week, we hosted our biggest @EnactEquality event yet at the Houses of Parliament! Over 200 people joined us, with 100+ more unable to get in due to the event being full. It truly shows how urgent the issues of air pollution & racial justice are. Thank you to all who came🙏🏾

I hosted an event in Parliament last night to highlight the disproportionate impact of air pollution on Black & Asian communities. As we work to clean up our toxic air, it’s vital that we centre those worst affected by it.

.@Lmyah_sherae said that people of colour, who are often excluded from conversations on air quality, must be heard by decision makers. L'myah also called for an inquiry into the disproportionate impact of air pollution on people of colour. https://t.co/vnYRaP2xx3

Black children should never be made to feel like their natural hair is ‘unprofessional.’ How is it still socially acceptable for teachers to label Afro hairstyles as needing ‘fixing’? It’s 2024 - time to end outdated standards. Afro hair deserves respect, not restrictions.

Black employees across the country face barriers for wearing their natural hair, while those same workplaces often claim to ‘promote diversity’. If workplaces can’t even accept our natural hair, then #diversity and #inclusion is just a facade.

A common misconception is that Afro hair discrimination only affects women & girls. In reality, young boys & men face this racism too. It’s about defending everyone’s right to express their heritage - because no one should be punished for embracing who they are.

Friday night on @BBCRadioLondon! 🎙️ Had such a lovely time being interviewed on air about my new @TEDx Talk on Afro hair discrimination. This issue runs deep, yet so many stories remain unheard. If you haven’t yet watched my @TEDx talk, it’s linked here: https://t.co/DScnuU3Qb6

✨ Monday reminder: if someone thinks your natural hair is the problem, tell them to look again - the real issue is their mindset. ✊🏾 Walk into this week with confidence, knowing your identity deserves respect, not approval. #MondayMotivation
