Thank you @alisonflood and the @guardian for this incredible article. We had tea for a couple of hours and she managed to center the narratives that combat oppression beautifully, shout out my book & @Refugees It means so much to be heard! #SistersEntrance

my father was one of the whistleblowers of the Darfur genocide—there’s been a bounty on his head since before i was born. my uncle was denied asylum every year until his murder. years before you noticed us. our siblings in Gaza know we’ve lost so much more than “jobs” #sayDarfur

Do you notice how nobody's losing their jobs for criticizing the genocidal atrocities in Sudan? How mainstream western politicians are able to call out the RSF and the UAE without having their careers nuked by high-powered lobby groups? How the western media aren't churning out

My friend Muammar insisted on staying in Al Fashir through a starvation siege even though he had the means to leave, to tell the story of his home city. He has not been seen since the RSF took him away. He must not be forgotten we must continue to campaign for his safe release

In this clip Muammar one of the few journalists still in Al Fashir is pleading for action to end the famine that the RSF militia’s siege is causing. Muammar himself has lost a lot of weight recently no one in the city is being spared. Amplify his message #AlFashir_is_starving

I am horrified by the RSF's mass killings of civilians in El Fasher, Sudan. We must do everything in our power to stop this genocide, including cutting off all weapons sales to the United Arab Emirates who are arming and funding this ethnic cleansing.

A flurry of videos shows Rapid Support Forces in Sudan carrying out extrajudicial killings and attacking apparent civilians fleeing North Darfur’s capital El Fasher following the takeover of the city by the RSF. Urgent international action is needed.

El Fasher: more evidence emerges of mass killings and other atrocities, committed after the RSF seized the city. We hear from @EmiThePoet about the deaths of family members + the efforts of Sudanese to help survivors #KeepEyesOnSudan Emi's organisation:

I’m devastated — losing family members every day— and ashamed at how silent the world continues to be. I’m ashamed at how many families we failed, how many innocent men women and children we allowed to be massacred before our eyes. 18/18

The major countries involved in the proxy war in Sudan are all allies of the US. And yet the US continues to allow the atrocities every single day. Enough is enough. 17/18

Impunity means that thousands of people can be massacred, a million starved, and the news will still talk about renovations to the east wing— not mentioning a thing about the proxy war that’s been allowed to continue for years. 16/18

Impunity means that a man who’s instrumental in the genocide of our people & the largest humanitarian crisis of our time— a man sanctioned by the US is still welcomed here with open arms & star treatment while thousands of our families are killed by the RSF he represents. 15/18

If the two years of man-made famine and siege were not enough to convince you— Himeidti’s (head of the genocidal RSF) literal brother is in DC at the Waldorf Astoria meeting with US officials. 14/18

All of Sudan suffers as we speak & the continuation of the genocide in Darfur means it’s only a matter of time before the same atrocities are committed again all over Sudan. Every day I fear the news that all of Sudan has fallen. How many more of our families have to die? 13/18

The same ethnic cleansing the people of Darfur and the Nuba and other indigenous groups have been subject to for ages will only continue to spread. We’ve already seen the torture and murder of civilians across our whole country and are seeing this happen again. 12/18

It is only in the interest of civilians— who are being tortured, raped, starved, kidnapped, and killed every single day— to end the war. It is only in the interest of some of the most powerful countries in the world to continue the proxy war. 11/18

While we appeal to the international community— each government turns its head away to protect its own interest. Why is the genocide and proxy war continuing in Sudan? Because it is in the geopolitical and economic interest of every country involved to continue the war. 10/18

The US, the UK, EU, & AU don’t intervene. The UN writes statements and claims to be more “secretary” less “general” and the cycle continues. Civilian voices are sidelined; bureaucratic processes waste the precious little time we have. 9/18

The massacre in El Fasher is being carried out by RSF, funded by UAE, enabled by SAF— who’s funded by Saudi Arabia— Egypt, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine play their parts. Colombian mercenaries are on the ground. 8/18

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again— zero tolerance for genocide means that whether you commit genocide or allow it to continue with no intervention— you are culpable. 7/18

In 2025 I’m seeing mass graves, countless executions, women, men, & children killed & tossed in ditches by the dozens, people laughing over corpses while shouting racial epithets, families hanging from trees. Thousands of indigenous people killed as the genocide continues. 6/18

The massacre in El Fasher is not only a continuation of the Darfur genocide, but it is part of a proxy war for all of the resources Sudan has to offer. While rich countries turn our home into their playground & coin-purse, Sudanese civilians pay the toll with their lives. 5/18

As we figure out who is alive and who is dead, as we count the families who managed to escape, take inventory of the wounded and prepare to feed, treat, and shelter whoever is left, I’m filled with sorrow and rage. 4/18
