UKHSA is working with partners to investigate a Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) outbreak.
An outbreak of E. Coli is ongoing across the UK. Likely caused by a food item(s) but source *as yet unknown* (investigations ongoing) Meanwhile be vigilant: 🥬🍓Wash fruit and vegetables. 🧼 Wash hands with soap and water. 🧽 Wipe kitchen surfaces with disinfectant.

1/ I care an enormous amount about a lot of the stories I’ve worked on during my @washingtonpost career, but few have moved me as deeply as the one we published today about Stephan Goodwin, and the risks people with schizophrenia face in extreme heat.

Reporting deaths from heat? It's more complex than you think. We asked experts from across our network why we see big differences in the numbers of heat-related deaths reported for the same locations, and what this means for risk communication. https://t.co/tE3nshJ0YG
