Students looked for insects and drew a picture of it on the map. We are aligning it with our reading program Amplify by answering a who, what, and where question on the back of the map. Who was your buddy? What insect did you find? Where did you find it? ‘Who/what/where’?

Kindergarten started their Making a Masterpiece STEM unit. Students created their own doubled sided paint brush from materials outside and from the classroom. Then yesterday and today we tested the brushes out to see if one end had thin bristles and the other had thick bristles.

Outdoor learning this week: looking for signs of webworms and their habitat, as well as other habitats. We have a monarch caterpillar in the pupa stage. We are observing it every day to see the changes and learning about the monarch butterfly lifecycle as well as their migration.
