This !! stablecoins should not be regulated in the same way as banks because they are not creating credit !! stablecoins =/= deposits. They are bearer instruments. Risks need to be mitigated yes, but not in the same way as deposits.
@tphillips @AlexH_Johnson @FintechTakes The critical critical point here. Stablecoin issuers do not create credit . Which is the whole point of FDIC protection and why any comparison to wildcat banking is without merit. Stablecoins need better criticism. The main of which is the vast majority of activity is off.
