But I still Love technology and futurism! I refuse to cede them that ground. They will NOT be the only ones allowed to be ambitious. So I have been learning how to create sustainable, ecological, spiritual, ancestral, accessible, magical, and anarchistic technologies. (/g)

I realized they cared for self, and that's it. Their 'innovations' were fools gold and lead in the water. Even the act of becoming 'rich' is inherently destructive to the natural and social environment. You either have to be a psychopath, or become one to get there (/hj /srs)

And I had to come to grips with the reality that these folks didn't actually care about making the world a better place for all, they just wanted to impose their idea of what the world should be, regardless of the real-world harms being caused by their actions. (/srs)

So I originally started my podcast as an (unknown) ancap, basically. I believed the problem was money not being used correctly. We just needed better leaders and billionaires. We just needed good people to become rich and change things that way. (/g) But then .. Musk (and co)

My podcast bio: "I believe that I can invent magic by creating massive value through ambitious empathy, magical technology, and egoistic altruism; because the best way to become wealthy, is to help everyone else become wealthy too." Oooh buddy...

And it was inspired by folks like Kurzgesagt :/ Also, I've been unlearning the singular idea of 'a future', and more towards the reality of multiple futures. It's more anarchistic and freeing.

"Let's use egoistic altruism to create a better future" Going to change this because 'egoistic altruism' was meant to encapsulate the idea that thinking of other people and building a better world for all is also what's best for you as an individual... But its roundabout.

How embarrassing, realized my bios on a few of my socials haven't been updated in years. Reads a little ancap-ish. I do like showing my progress. Shows that I didn't start here, I've just been constantly learning and growing. Going to 'save' my old bios here:

Excited to dispel some myths, share some impactful use cases, and discuss better ways to think about the 'metaverse' and 'web3'. Any friends who work in these spaces, lmk if you'd like me to share your use cases! Thinking of @technobaboo @amoration @dankvr @open_metaverse etc

BREAKING: Georgia police are again jailing climate activists without trial for fighting the misguided "Cop City" training complex. Three people face 20-yr prison terms for distributing flyers as state officials try to criminalize advocacy. This is Mob-style intimidation.

I want personalized AI that can be controlled w my surface thoughts. But not something I'd trust to big tech companies or governments.

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm curious, do you actually have to talk to operate it? Or can it take subvocalization or even thought? I think having to talk to use most features of a product is extremely limiting and inaccessible.

But as of now I am SUPER worried about the fact that this may nonetheless make it harder for JR devs to get jobs, since most of their work can/will be done by Mid-Sr level devs who can automate much of the work they'd give to newbies. This is likely true for other industries.

I've tried ChatGPT, Codex, AskCodi, and Bing. This isn't exhaustive ofc, but I'm doubtful that any other tool would do what I need it to do (ie actually develop an app based on my ideas even if I know little to no code). I'm holding out hope that it will get there one day...

Or could spot what it did wrong and fix it themselves. No doubt useful to programmers, but more because a lot of the job is remembering things you know but forgot, or filling out repetitive stuff, or spotting relatively simple inconsistencies (bugs) in your code.

In the case of coding, it can and will produce code that *looks* like it should work, but if you don't know what you're looking at, you have no idea how to fix its issues. Likely those that say it has helped them 'make a game' or 'app' are either creating super generic things..
