Working with @HistoricEngland to deliver the Heritage Building Skills summer school at St John's #Lancaster was my biggest professional achievement this year. Lots of hard work with lots of people, brilliant trainees developing #heritageskills and the church roof getting fixed 🙂.

We recently visited Lancaster's historic high street alongside @CatSmithMP and @LancasterCC. We even met 3 generations of the Smilie family at the restored Quality Plus Furniture showroom! 📸. Since 2020, £2 million has helped revitalise the Mill Race area in the city centre.

Our apprentices have been hard at work at our Heritage Building Skills Summer School this week. ⚒️. They have been working with master craftspeople to learn how to make decorative plasterwork, heritage joinery, and stone carving techniques.
