Terrible realisation I unconsciously named a planet after my rats' medicine in this latest thing.

At long last, I've finally done it. I've finally finished a first draft within the word count.

All these Sutekh theories, but nobody's considered that the answer may be in plain sight. Two people have referred to 'the Boss' now...

Perfect way to end Inside No. 9. Also, that *was* an extremely niche joke about a particular incident in Doctor Who fandom, wasn't it?

It's Big Finish Day tomorrow, and I'll be there, so I wrote something about one of my favourite Big Finish stories in recent years - The Galois Group. Written by @Eiphel and read by @SafiyyaIngar! https://t.co/MI2SdK68IA

73 Yards made perfect sense to me. All the genres layered on top of each other - Welsh folk horror, trad sci-fi, political thriller - are a shell game, shuffling around a story that's ultimately about how it feels to be abandoned your whole life.

(All of this nature and the horror of people at coming to perceive it in this story being allegory for abandonment trauma in foster children.) (28/28)

My reading is that Ruby stumbles into a fae otherworld via the broken circle, and there finds herself half suited to the laws of that world, so thwarting an incursion by the King of the fair folk, because she is herself a changeling child with otherworldly streak of her own. (27)

To round up these thoughts: 73 Yards evokes Welsh myths of fair folk and the Otherworld, typifying this season's supernatural trappings. It builds on and parallels similar ideas in Battlefield which establish these myths as rooted in a Doctorless parallel reality. (26/28)
