This thread tells all you need to know about Trump's agenda and how it takes from working people to make millionaires and billionaire richer. Is America's biggest problem really that the rich are not rich enough?.

🧵 🚨 BREAKING: Senate just passed Trump's "big ugly bill" 51-50. VP Vance broke the tie. This is the worst tax giveaway to the rich in history while cutting help for regular people. It's that bad. 1/7

IRR lets PE firms legally lie with numbers. Developed to let CFO compare returns from purchase of new equipment to yield on Treasury bond. Now misused by PE firms and PE industry. Should use PME & most pension funds do privately. But all like the misleading high IRR numbers.

House Reconciliation Bill throws millions off Medicaid and takes food out of the mouths of hungry children, but no tax break for the richest of the rich is too small to be included.

The House tax bill overwhelmingly benefits the wealthiest Americans. Net tax cuts:.$138 billion for top 1% of Americans.$92 billion for bottom 60% of Americans. This will worsen wealth inequality through the tax code.

People agree that Medicaid recipients that can work should be working. What many people don't know is that two-thirds of Medicaid recipients - nearly everyone on Medicaid who is not disabled, pregnant, in school or caring for young children - does work.

As Georgia experience shows, work requirements are a bureaucratic nightmare that only discourage workers from enrolling in Medicaid. Work requirements are best suited for *disenrolling* Medicaid beneficiaries. @ECurchin

It's a disgrace. Tax cuts that go mostly to the wealthiest people paid for by taking food out of the mouths of children and families and cutting the Medicaid roles.

More tax breaks for big corporations is not the way to expand paid family and medical leave to more families. Closing tax loopholes and using the money to benefit working families is popular and the right thing to do.

What’s more, we should be investing, not cutting. 88% of voters support closing corporate tax loopholes and using those funds to invest in paid leave and care, including majorities of independents (81%) and Republicans (79%).

Tax breaks for companies mostly go to big firms that already provide paid family and medical leave benefits. They don't help small businesses and they don't help more families get paid leave.

We could enact paid family and medical leave for all working people in America twice over for the cost of the tax cut to the top 0.1%. Americans oppose the 45S "fake leave" tax credit across party lines. We need #PaidLeaveForAll - the real thing!.
