There's a huge bigger picture here that needs to be addressed. Yes, school absenteeism is chronic, so is anxiety amoung teens, confidence issues, peer issues, and much more. I don't know where the solution lies but we need action sooner rather than later.
School absence: 1. Increased pressure on JC students because of CBAs. 2. Huge pressure due to CAO. 3. Increased awareness of anxiety and other issues students have means parents more willing to let them stay at home. 4. Covid taught students school isn't important.
