Ages ago I was putting together a list of recommended films for my TY class. I never got around to typing the list up so I'm putting it together on a thread. All fiction, no documentaries (I haven't seen enough of them). And I'm aware of the lack of diversity. I'm working on that.

#Superman is too overloaded with characters and backstory that needs to be explained to fully flow. I kept expecting Pierce Brosnan to turn up in a gold helmet. But the kids enjoyed it. And I enjoyed the cinema trip. Not awful.

Read a biography of Bergman recently and it talks about how he was a fan of Hitler before the war.

This is my "summer chores" listening. Love the film, love the book. Anyone that still thinks Mad Max: Fury Road is a bit of blockbuster nonsense should read this book. The film is, without doubt, one of the great cinematic achievements. Highly recommended.
