"He knew I had the right of way. But he sped up and shot through the light anyway. That’s the problem. And like another kind of predator, it doesn’t care what you’re wearing." Dangerous drivers don’t care about your fluorescent armband https://t.co/esDiBVpQDO via @torontostar

Fluorescent armbands cannot be the solution — short-term or long-term — to a problem that doesn’t live in the dark, Emma Teitel writes.

Partly inspired by @albrgr's tweets, I dug a little more into recent findings on the relationship between air pollution and cognition. The effects seem rather amazingly large: https://t.co/gC24nfXLuC.

Snow storms are always good at revealing how many people get around on foot and how little they are prioritized.

Drivers are not bothered by roadside memorials to car crash victims or ghost bikes. They think it will never happen to them. What if we placed a ghost car at every fatal car accident location? At a minimum they would be inconvenienced by all of the white cars parked everywhere.

Congrats to “I am a Pedestrian” - 2019 Book #HTawards nominee! The result of a 42-hour, 159-kilometre #TOwalk, this book is a collection of under-explored places, stories of people encountered, and lost histories rediscovered along the way. https://t.co/PljeyHMJhE
