I’ve always enjoyed the delicate Lesser Yellowlegs. One of the first N American waders I saw way back in 1974. This one was fairly close to home at Kings Lynn

Amazing adventure aboard challenger 4. Tricky conditions but our journey to the edge of UK waters and the edge of the continental shelf produced phenomenal numbers of Band-rumped (Madeiran) Petrels. 95 birds a conservative estimate This was our first individual bird.

Scilly waters- Trying to photograph birds in a nearly 2m swell from a small boat in 25knot winds is tricky but pleased to see a good few Wilson’s Storm-Petrel. Always blows me away that these tiny seabirds, that breed on South Georgia/Antarctic Peninsula reach our waters at all!

Today will be a day I never forget. I finally set eyes on the enigmatic Sumatran Ground Cuckoo. 3 years after my failure to see it in Bukit Barasan. A species lost to science for 81years until 1997 and endemic to sub montane mountains of Sumatra

We're shocked & saddened after deliberate vandalism at #PloversinPeril nesting site in recent weeks puts nesting Ringed Plover at risk at their most vulnerable time. We're working with local police & asking the local community to help. Further details👇 https://t.co/Ac4CAmlWtG

Please follow and support @CABS_REPORTS. These are brave people working to report and stop the totally unnecessary and unacceptable slaughter of migratory birds around the Mediterranean. These heroes are more than worthy of your support.

Hey @JeffBezos just wondering what I should write about personal liberties and free markets in the context of your NBF selling out the free world to his pal Vlad … you may have lots of money. But you sure as hell have no spine

The winter months remind me of my epic trip to Ladakh and our magical sightings of this beauty. Now virtually guaranteed and considerably easier to see. Spaces still available on the most experienced and well run Feb 2025 tour.

Thank you @bishopnorwich for flagging the huge pressure put on farmers by the #FamilyFarmTax proposals and discussing the human impact as well as reminding us of farmers’ contribution to society. Thanks too for highlighting the support provided by @yanafarming, also @FCNcharity.
“Our farming families feed our nation. They provide nature benefits. They contribute to the warp and weft of community life. We need them. We owe them a fair system.” The Bishop of Norwich speaking in the House of Lords on the impact of the budget proposals on small farms and
