To understand billionaires, you need to understand horizontal inequality, illusory control, self-selection bias, quantified self-worth, and the evolution of overconfidence.
Here's my favourite slide from my own talk, showing dramatic increase in N papers published in certain @hindawi journals in past 2 yr - all down to special issues, mostly full of papermill content. Note too that if the papers are retracted, the publisher keeps the APC!
