EVERYONE THINKS THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS ABOUT OIL. IT'S NOT. IT'S ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SURVIVE. The Strait has been closed for 8 days. People see oil prices and panic. They have NO idea what's actually at stake. Let that sink in. 💀 92% of the world's SULFUR comes

Numerous posts across various social media platforms are actively suggesting to us as humans that we should remain divided and harbour hatred toward one another. Recent wars and conflicts happening around the world are unfortunately reinforcing and amplifying this troubling idea.

The Ontario Science Centre was intentionally designed to provide families and school groups with a series of experiences. Arrival, cross the bridge, through the Great Hall, down the escalators, terrace, down again, galleries… And it started with gathering your group right here.

This is no way to topple an evil regime. It is, however, the perfect way to turn every patriotic Persian against your clumsy & murderous attempt to destroy & fragment their wonderful country.

"What I do as a person, as an architect, it's not so that it looks good on paper or in a magazine. It's not a statement of one's ego. It has to express democracy, equality, inclusion of all people, and social justice. If not, then architecture is a hollow sham." -Raymond Moriyama

Unlike previous oil wars renewable energy is now available at scale. It's distributed, diversified and resilient. Most importantly, solar panels don’t blow up and once they are in place you don’t need ships to constantly feed them to make energy. The sun is looking like a

This. I've heard many arguments lately about how @realDonaldTrump + co sound "really confident" as they talk about policy (and wars) that clearly have little substantive thinking behind them. But people go along with it. Humans PREFER confidence to competence.
What these models do is seem intelligent. And that’s the most dangerous thing. Because when they sound convincing, we believe they understand. When they reason out loud, we believe they’re thinking. But it’s pure theater.

The problem with fossil fuels is their intermittency 😅
Twenty million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday. Today the number may be zero. Not because Iran mined the water. Not because a tanker was hit. Because Lloyd’s of London picked up the phone. War risk underwriters began canceling policies for strait

There is no reasoning with imperial power. We must understand that their worldview is built on supremacy, the opposite of humanity. It is naked violence. We cannot accept to live in such a world, and every sane and moral person must resist it with all their might.

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit

Make no mistake. The US/Israel war against Iran is a colonial war. Like the genocide in Palestine, the invasion of Iraq and Libya, the incineration of Vietnam and Laos, it is war to subjugate the people of the global South and annihilate their resistance. Colonialism has no
