11 yrs ago today, D'Angelo released his final album βBlack Messiahβ. a record reckoning with social injustice, heartache & racism. The songwriting on here is truly some of the most powerful I've heard on any modern album, and the musicianship is outstanding. It's a masterpiece π€

What a time! Went to the show on Good Friday 2011! Mint Condition opened for him plus he brought out Alicia Keys to sing "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore?"! After the show, he came out to ride his bike on the floor between the stage and stands & waved to the crowd still there!
Prince really did 21 shows at the Forum in inglewood, in 2011, where 4/5s of the tickets were only $25. That sounds unreal now
