Early CGI doesn't look so hot in UHD/4K, but matte paintings look fucking beautiful. I wish they'd never been phased out by CGI. I mean, LOOK AT THESE. If there's one thing I would bring back, it's matte paintings. Pure artistry, man.

I get movies are subjective and all that jazz. But why so many hate MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II?. A John Woo movie, with all love about Woo, Tom Cruise with perfect hair, Thandiwe Newton at her best, bullets and more bullets and a 90's action movie plot. Endlessly entertaining.

BLADE: TRINITY having *this* little scene where Blade reacts to Whistler sacrificing himself for him, speaks louder than words what the movie could've been with a steadier hand on the reins. This movie gets a lot of flack, but no one talks shit about this moment.
