Whose Corner Is It Anyway https://t.co/woerYgKXkX - I just donated, now it’s your turn! For everyone out there that’s learned the truth of the grift of a certain big name group that shall remain nameless, lest it bring trolls, THIS is real anti-trafficking work.

Annual reminder that the group “It’s A Penalty” has a clever name AND lies to donors. The very definition of performance masquerading as…actually, it isn’t even masquerading, it’s straight up performance. Also trafficking doesn’t spike at the Super Bowl. Tell your friends.

Another national tech article that age verification has no support for "protecting children", it's violating civil rights and privacy (among other problems). https://t.co/WIXa0IV8HS

The age-verification laws that prompted Pornhub blockades are part of a movement seeking to return to a time when obscenity laws were thinly veiled curbs on LGBTQ+ rights.

So excited to have the opportunity to attend this year the “2024 National Labor Trafficking Conference”. It is amazing to see so many individuals from different professions and different states come together to attend these two dates of great information. #endlabortrafficking

I don’t usually repost old stuff but I wrote this over NINE years ago & I’d write the same words now. Sex workers in Scotland have been dealing with these constant attacks for so many years. The toll that takes on people’s mental health is immense. https://t.co/Xdj69kOfBA

It’s time to listen to sex workers about how best to keep them safe.

This. Is. Vile. When politicians and others make these types of statements they normalise violence against sex workers. Sex workers have a right to say no at any time. When you suggest they don’t, you give actual abusers a free pass. It’s also inaccurate & horribly offensive.

This attitude puts SWs at greater risk because it reinforces the idea that harm is inevitable. SWs are afraid to report to police, ask family & friends for help, scared to use the justice system because they're afraid they'll be told it was their fault for being in the industry.

Alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer #RexHeuermann is not an aberration. The #sextrade is inherently violent and sometimes that violence turns lethal. Serial killers often target individuals living on the margins of society, and individuals in #prostitution are prime targets.

On Friday, federal prosecutors in Argentina formally accused Opus Dei of trafficking teenage girls and young women. In my book, many former members testify to the abuse and manipulation they suffered inside the organisation. https://t.co/ultyI4id36

Organizing as chronically impoverished, drug using SWers is about impossible to sufficiently & safely fund. Needs change fast & crises are endemic while most grants restrict use & can be v difficult to distribute. This is why every dollar to WCIIA's gfm is crucial & lifesaving!!

I cannot stress enough that geese are simply violent and horrible and they will be that way regardless of whether they have access to meth. But also no one is giving geese their meth. Because geese are simply violent and horrible and no one likes them enough to give them meth.

In Portland, Oregon geese are fed cyrstal meth in bread. Homeless addicts purposely drug Canadian geese so they can become violent to attack park goers. Geese become addicted to the drug craving even more meth

This report is vile. Hateful, stigmatising, moral crusade that entirely ignores all evidence (and there’s a LOT) that what’s being proposed is a downright dangerous. And it has * zero consultation* with the people who’d be most affected. Shame on you @APPG_CSE 1/
