The new Energy Efficiency Directive enters into force today. It sets a bold target: reducing the final energy consumption in EU by at least 11.7% by 2030. To put it into perspective, we could save what Spain currently consumes in 1 year. #EUGreenDeal

Climate change is man-made. So it means we can address it. For this we need innovation, investments in green technologies, renewable energy capacity and energy efficiency. This requires more investments. At the G20 I invited leaders to join the call for global carbon pricing.
