Events in #Bangladesh one year ago were momentous and tragic. Commemorating them at @BDPM_Geneva this morning, I looked back on my visit to #Dhaka 6 months ago. We support Bangladesh in addressing last summer’s events and strengthening human rights going forward.

It’s hard to overstate the way rights & freedoms have been destroyed by the Taliban. At @UN_HRC this week I met brave Afghan women working to highlight the situation: many women essentially prisoners in their homes, no access to income. We cannot overlook this awful repression.
