Rant #2 from ATLS this morning…. My EMERGENCY-MEDICINE trained instructor just called the ultrasound the “FAST Machine” and I nearly choked on my coffee. We must not disrespect such a beautiful & important piece of equipment that has saved our a$$ many times in the last decade!.

In my 20s I worked at @PPFA for a year. You might be very surprised at the women having abortions. They are from all walks of life and ages. Some even told me “I don’t believe in abortion”. Yet there they were. The thing in common? They were all desperate not to be pregnant.

A very sad day. I’m afraid for my patients, for my residents, and honestly for myself. Abortion is now illegal here in Louisiana with no exception for rape or incest. It can still occur when the mothers life is in danger if 2 physicians agree.
