It took all of about 5 minutes for @Cooper_White_7 to get the #2025EAPBOMBboard started. The smart money, if @ajgarrett20 doesn’t repeat of course, is on Cooper. He didn’t get many AB’s last year so he’s got a dark horse vibe.

Multiple Humeral breaks/fractures while throwing to 2B from behind the plate in a healthy 18 yr old is easily the strangest thing Ive seen in 25 years of this. They look to be clean breaks, he will come back and be fine.

I would’ve scoffed and had something smart to say about this less than 10 years ago but it is absolutely true. ESPECIALLY the last sentence.
“Taking the fall off” to “workout” is a very poor strategy in this era of recruiting. More high school players will get college offers in the fall than in the summer. If you can’t workout and play at the same time, you won’t make it in college baseball anyways.

Relying on games to develop an athlete is like relying on deer to mow your yard. A couple areas might accidentally get addressed but it will never get close to accomplishing the goal you wanted to reach. The games are a reward for the work you do when no one is watching.
Biggest misconception I’ve noticed through the tryout process with our youth Academy is people under the impression that the level their kid plays (A,AA,AAAA,Major) will drastically impact long-term development. It’s simply not the case. There’s not enough reps in games for that.
