Here's why you HS stats won't get you a ton of attention:. 1. Limited sample size - not enough ABs to really know the story. 2. What kind of pitching did your stats accumulate from? Too hard for a recruiter to know. 3. Not facing college arms, so stats fall flat w recruiters.

17u is the earliest age, in my opinion, that you can start to see how good a player really is. Some may argue that there's a few who you can see way earlier, and that's probably true, but for the overwhelming majority of players - 17u is the first age you can begin to see it.

Uncommitted ‘26 @IanPugh07 with his 9th HR (!!!) of the calendar year yesterday. Fierce competitor who can flat out HIT! Also ran a 6.7 on lasers at 220lbs. Will be a plug and play bat at the college level without a doubt.

No other pitch in baseball matters if hitters don't have to respect that you can throw your fastball for a strike consistently. So many young pitchers want to skip this step, but it's really not possible if you want to pitch at a high level.
