I'm going to go to New York city from May 13th through 20th, and I wanted to know what I should do 🏙️
I like to visit museums, gardens, and landmarks. I currently have a short list with the Met, Moma, Guggenheim, Statue of Liberty, Bronx Zoo, etc.
This honestly pisses me off. I’m working on a side project with someone, and they converted all the JS files into TS files. So many merge conflicts are occurring…
Due to some personal things in my life, I’ve been feeling very depressed.
My personal and professional life have hit an all-time low.
I would like to get mental health but I don’t have insurance in the USA. Is there any advice you can give on getting free/cheap mental help?
I need advice.
Finished an interview at a company where I would be the only Software Engineer.
My tasks would be to create a website, similar to Apple, and maintain it.
I only have 6 months of professional experience, and I don't know the salary. Should I take the job?
So I noticed a majority of my followers and people I follow are people like me. Looking for or are in their first tech job.

How do you deal with application rejections or ghosting?
I've been applying for entry-level jobs in software engineering for a couple days, and it feels very demoralizing 😢
Have you ever automated something that took longer than it would have taken for you to do manually?
Friend: I just saved myself 10 minutes of work!
Me: How long did it take you?
Friend: Like 10 days...
Me: 👇🏼

In my experience, I've found I get more positive replies if I:
1) Apply to a job within 48 hours of it being posted.
2) Apply on the company website.
3) Tailor the resume and cover letter with keywords.
4) Send a personal message to a recruiter/hiring manager.
Am I the only person who accidentally skips breakfast, lunch, and dinner during coding and debugging sessions?
My wife was panicking yesterday because I didn't leave my office from 7AM - 8PM 😩

I bet she loved watching her weak man try to break a sweat at the gym.
Think twice the next time you accept taking her. No woman likes watching her man be a failure.
I just want to thank you to all the amazing people in the Twitter community 🎈 I've been going through a tough time this last week and all of you have been there to support me 🩷 Thank you to any of my 500+ followers or strangers who have sent me positive messages.
So apparently Devin AI is a thing.
Kind of feels bad since I'm a software developer with only about a year of experience 🥲
Guess it's time to get my Master's in AI/ML.
I just realized all the cover letters I've sent out since January still had the date with the year of 2023 🤦🏼♂️
Be honest with me. I'm not getting considered for any of these jobs am I? 😢

I think finding a good roadmap is important. Be that online, through a mentor, tutorials, etc. Certain technologies have to be learned in order, and you wouldn't know that by going in blind (e.g. JavaScript before React)

If you transitioned into tech, what did you do before?
I transitioned into tech near the end of 2021, and before that I was an educator that worked with children who had Autism Spectrum Disorder.
For those of you currently in tech, are you thinking about moving onto a new field?
The tech market is not good for juniors right now, and seems like AI will be taking over my position sooner than I thought. Not immediately but in the future.

I mean if we look at reality, it's also the truth. I don't think anyone says English is the best or most consistent language. But it's popular.
I learned today to always use trim() data within inputs before passing it to be stored in the database.
Literally had a tester who put his name as " Andy ".
UI displaying his name had whitespace...
