If you’ve never built a company before, highly recommend a services business (any industry) to be your first company you make. You learn a lot, and you can build it to sell for a lot of money. People who say you can’t are straight dumb.
Agency owners are easily the most well-rounded business owners in the online space. From sales to copy, content, hiring, management + coaching, stress tolerance, and project mgmt. Have had so many ecom clients who were just great at 1-2 things and outsourced everything else -.

Them: "We spent $10K on a custom landing page, but the homepage still converts better". Me: "45% of successful brands on @heatmapme run ads to their homepage. Your agency sold you 2016 strategies. Best practices don't exist. Data is the only best practice.". Them: "But every CRO.

Guess I’m contrarian today…. Some of the highest converting sites I’ve worked on have been dark backgrounds 😂😂. For some brands if it matches the product, go dark. Every one of Alex Becker’s funnels are dark. Heclad is dark. Cool, one brand saw a nice lift but it’s a bonkers.
DON'T use a dark background on your landing pages. it decreases readibility and increases the prospect's cortisol. this makes them more likely to leave the site and not interact. a SaaS company I know changed from dark to light background and increased conversion by 27%.

I have a lot of data (like, billions in $$) that the top 5% of heatmap customers are all running ads to their homepages. Typically yield a higher AOV, lower CVR, but net net higher RPS. LPs are awesome and you need a level of scale before smashing your homepage works well. It’s.
Most DTC founders send paid traffic to their homepage. Wrong move. Here's our 4-type landing page framework that matches customer awareness levels: 🧵

THANK YOU ANDREI. I built a pretty darn big CRO agency off of surveys and heatmaps. Rarely checked Google analytics and never built any fancy trackers. Good copywriting, images, and UX. Done deal, friends.
Dude, surveys and heatmaps alone will make you so much more money. We found out that customers had a hard time understanding which variant to choose (between 2 variants). We added a persuasive and descriptive copy for each variant. Busy printing cash atm.

One of the things Ecom brands get MISERABLY wrong is talent. Us SaaS/agency folks have talent and hiring and getting the best humans in the door 24/7. The best service/SaaS companies are canvassing harder for new team members than new clients!!!. @TaylorHoliday always saw super.

This is what I call a smart dude. @andreibreha is criminally under followed. He made this as an sop for his agency using @heatmapme and decided to make it free for everyone 🙏❤️.
