I wonder if the Jazz attacked this offseason (drafting Ace, trading Clarkson, Collins, Sexton, etc) because of the Austin Ainge hire or if they would have done it the same regardless of his hire. I'm very curious what his contributions were towards making these decisions.

If this is the prerequisite to more moves, then I get it. If this is a move to tank (without actually tanking) for a better draft class, then I get it. If this trade is just what they intended it to be, without setting up anything else, then the Jazz definitely lost this trade.

Jayson Tatum was another player who didn't want to go to the team he was drafted by. Ironically, it was Danny Ainge who also made that pick.
What will Ace Bailey’s reputation in the NBA is gonna be after this week? I think all this stuff with Utah can be definitely be overcome/forgotten (it’s certainly happened with other players before) - but he’s now gonna have to clear a higher bar to prove himself. New episode
