This year’s Walk witnessed the participation of 15,000 individuals from different ages and nationalities, who took 4,000 steps (3 km) in solidarity with millions of children in developing countries who walk long distances every day to get to school.
The “Dubai Declaration on Early Childhood Development,” responds to the growing scientific consensus that children’s early development directs their mental and emotional trajectories throughout life, with major implications for the economy and stability of their communities.
