Celebrations at DJS this afternoon as the pool reopens with a new roof and a 'Thank You' tea party for everyone who helped fundraise the £60,000 needed over the past two years.
As the year none of us could have predicted comes to an end, thank you for all your support - particularity during this challenging term - and we look forward to seeing the children again in September.
Excellent cup final from the girls today. It went to extra time and unfortunately they lost 3-2. All of the girls did a brilliant job and should be very proud of the effort they put in.
Well done Team Drayton! We came home with Girls' shield, relay cup and overall winners. As well as one city sports record: Hermoine y5 150m! A super team effort.
We had a great day at the Royal Norfolk Show today thanks to Norfolk Music Service. We made fruit kebabs, saw farm animals & machinery, and even broke a Guinness World Record! Some of us even had a wave from HRH Prince William 👑
Our Immy total has now reached £811.50. Thank you Saffy and Mia for giving up your time, at the weekend, to run a craft sale in order to raise more money. All the children are now looking forward to seeing the staff attempt those crackers!

Year 5 had a fantastic day yesterday at Pleasurewood Hills, learning all about the forces and mechanics of fairground rides…… and having some fun too!!
Congratulations to ALL the children that took part in city sports. There was some amazing individual performances but it really is a team effort and the children were brilliant. Also a big thank you to all the parents that helped out and came along to support.

Our children enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner, complete with crackers and festive music. Mrs 'Elf' Read joined in the Christmas spirit and helped the kitchen to serve everybody. Yum!

Over the coming week staff will be making well being calls to all the children to remind them that they haven't been forgotten, as we enter week seven of lockdown! This will be a chance to catch up with them and hear all about what they have been doing.

Year 5 and 6 have enjoyed a visit from ex-Olympian and running coach Paul Evans this week. He talked about having determination and perseverance as well as taking PE lessons on running.
The last breakfast for the first group of Year 4 at Hilltop. 🍽️ As you can clearly see, the children AND teachers are still buzzing with energy. 😉 We look forward to welcoming the second half of Year 4 at lunch time.
