B/c they research on BM is almost entirely driven by feminist assumptions. Black people still limit themselves to Duluth based interpretations of IPV. These theories do not account for these facts of the matter.

Think about the implication of this argument: Kimberly Crenshaw claimed that BW were the most affected by IPV & IPH after 14 years of data showed it was BM being killed. Audre Lorde, a known abuser, claimed BM abused BW due to racism, while BM were being killed by BW more.

Yes, this is correct. IPH trends in the US meant that for 14 years during the explosion of feminist theory, Black men were the majority of intimate partner homicide among Blacks Americans.
This is dumb as shit. From at least 1976 to ~1990, more Black women killed their spouses every year than the other way around. Size/gender differences don’t determine whether someone has the capacity to kill or injure. Anyone assaults you, you have a duty to protect yourself.

This excuse for female violence risks silencing Black male victims. The idea that Black men have no right to be safe, to be spared from assault, is a real problem. But if this escalated and he defended himself, the 1st comment would be a/b BM & patriarchy.

I find it unsettling how when Blk males victims are involved, physical injury is the new standard. BM suffer depression, anxiety, anger, & negative health consequences from IPV. I dont support incarceration, but in this situation, she should have been removed & confined.

BM are rarely understood as the comparison group given how badly they fare compared to other groups. One can easily say under Trump BW are approaching the similar metrics traditionally associated with that of Black men.
The jump in unemployment for Black men was larger and higher than Black women’s according to this data from BLS. BW went from 6.2 to 5.8. BM went from 5.2 to 6.9 unemployment. Why is no one talking about this?
