I was Victoria’s Environment Minister in 2005 when a fire burnt much of Wilsons Promontory. The fire was the result of a fuel reduction burn which ESCAPED ten days after initial ignition as a result of warm and windy weather. The risks are REAL.

My partner just showed me this free @windyforecast app that visualises nitrogen dioxide (air qual) levels throughout the week — like weather patterns. It is mesmerising and looks like a dystopian version of van Gogh’s, The Starry Night. 😷 #AustraliaBurns

Active fires 🔥 in Australia. At what point are we going to listen to our own scientists and the Bureau of Meteorology and admit this is climate change? When the entire land mass is covered?
