The story of Black women leading the way to secure #votingrights for all - and through activism in the Black church no less! Just a little #BlackExcellence to start the day 💛 @shesa1der.
In the fall of 1916, four years before the 19th Amendment would make it unconstitutional to deny voting rights on the basis of sex, African-American women in Chicago were readying to cast their first ballots ever for President. #VotingRights.

This week I’ve signed orders to prescribe our 1st emergency food packages @ Strong Recovery. The ultimate hope is a better social safety net that prevents this need, but this is a win for addressing food insecurity and #sdoh in medicine.
