Conservationist and rewilding enthusiast taking a break from Musk’s toxic version of Twitter. #HopeNotHate

Taking a break from Twitter. Musk’s malign influence on the site and the active harm the platform is now doing mean it is no longer a forum I want to participate in. Recent events just the final straw. I will miss the exchange of knowledge and ideas, but Musk is simply toxic.

If this was a terrorist attack there’d be wall to wall media coverage, Govt crisis meetings and mobilisation against the enemy, but it’s climate change so we do nothing, Govt shrugs and the media barely blinks. Inaction is a choice.

Think how hard it is to secure footage like this - to show so clearly what these #criminals are up to, far from prying eyes, worried only about being caught out by tracking technology. How often do you think these crimes can be documented like this, and how many go unrecorded?.

You might say this is inconsistency from top Tories but it isn’t really. Labelling peaceful protests against genocide ‘hate marches’ and describing the violent, #FarageRiots by far right thugs as expressions of understandable concern is actually 100% consistent with their record.
I’ve not managed to find a tweet from Suella Braverman or Robert Jenrick calling these hate marches yet…. Chop chop.

Why are @bbcnews describing riots as protests?. Assaulting police, burning buildings and vehicles, attacking mosques and looting shops = rioting. Chaining yourself to a motorway gantry or throwing orange powder at a cricket match = a protest. It’s not hard. #FarageRiots

The far right thugs taking part in the #FarageRiots, assaulting police, burning and looting as they go, are complaining about a supposedly “two tier policing” system. I guess they missed the news that *peaceful* climate protesters got 5 year sentences for planning a traffic jam.

Say what you like about the violent, hate-filled rioters trashing our streets, intimidating communities and assaulting our police, at least they didn’t meet up for a Zoom call to have a chat about their protest beforehand. #RealCriminals.

I sense a growing feeling that our legal system makes no sense and serves the wrong interests. Nobody expects guilty people to actually be punished (various CEOs, fascist thugs etc.) and nobody is surprised when relative innocents receive harsh punishments. And that’s a worry.
If you get a five year sentence for non-violent climate protests what do you get for violent fascist protests?.

This is how Israel should have responded to last year’s attack by Hamas, with a series of these targeted strikes at the guilty parties - NOT by invading Palestine and killing tens of thousands of innocents.
The Politcial Leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh and one of his Boydguards have been Killed, after their Residence in the Iranian Capital of Tehran was Targeted in an Unknown Attack.

Things really bad in Ukraine right now. Critical weeks lie ahead with history in the balance. I fear we will long regret not giving Ukraine all the support it needed before its army was exhausted. Biden (who, never forget, also abandoned Afghans to their fate) very much to blame.
Crises have accumulated over the summer with Ocheretyne, Kharkiv, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, and now Prohress. Russia has strived to exhaust the Ukrainians. Now, for the first time, it has managed to create multiple larger crises in different areas at the same time. 11/
