This year for #BlackHistoryMonth we launched our first newsletter, Our History, In Color, highlighting contributions by people of color (POC) to medicine. JEDI continues to publish monthly newsletters to bring forward historically significant POC often overlooked in medicine.

We’ve facilitated conversations with over 300 @UCSDHealth leaders to educate and provide the necessary tools in dismantling structural racism. Using @CamaraJones’ allegories on race and racism, we’ve helped equip healthcare teams to become anti-racist.

We’ve hosted 3 knowledge building sessions (each with over 200 attendees!) covering topics such as the history of “race” and racism, creating safe and accountable spaces for racial equity, and privilege, power, and bias.
